- Here I wanted to purely use large thick impasto strokes to create an abstract, poetical idea of a sunset. The poetry is in how it looks like a thought, and blurry passing memory of splashes of color, of the sea's texture, of the vibrant light reflecting off the clouds of the sun. It is a small, personal, beautiful memory recorded through paint of a sunset.
