- With this piece, I sought to capture the gentleness and kind-spirited characteristics of the Manatee as part of a tropical series of paintings. Manatees are adorably subtle creatures known for their size and surprisingly graceful swimming capabilities. I incorporated warm ones of various blue and purple hues to lend detail to the Manatee and to add contrast to the blue world around him.
